Mission & Vision Statements

Mission Statement

Our mission is to reduce barriers to accessing mental health care services and provide high-quality, accessible mental health care services for all individuals within California. We believe that mental health care is a basic human right, and we strive to make it available to all Californians regardless of their socio-economic status, ethnicity, or any other factor.

To achieve this goal, we are committed to promoting equity and inclusion in our work. We recognize that mental health care services have historically been inaccessible to certain communities, and we aim to address this by working with community organizations and leaders to better understand the unique needs of these communities.

We also value empathy and respect in our interactions with clients. We understand that seeking mental health care can be a vulnerable experience, and we aim to create a safe and non-judgmental space for all of our clients to share their experiences and receive support.

Finally, we are dedicated to continuous learning and improvement. We believe that by staying up-to-date on the latest research and best practices, we can provide the most effective and evidence-based care to our clients.

In addition to our direct services, we provide training and practicum placements for trainee and associate therapists in California. We recognize that there is a shortage of mental health care providers in California, and we aim to address this by training the next generation of mental health care professionals. By expanding access to affordable and flexible mental health services, we hope to make a positive impact on the mental health of all Californians.

Vision Statement

Our aspirational vision is to create a world where mental health care is a right, not a privilege. We envision a future where all individuals, regardless of their socio-economic status, ethnicity, or any other factor, have equitable and affordable access to mental health care services. We believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality, evidence-based care that is tailored to their unique needs.

To achieve this vision, we are committed to expanding our reach and capabilities throughout California. We aim to open new locations and offer additional services to better serve the most underprivileged individuals throughout the state. We will also continue to advocate for mental health care at the state and federal level, working to ensure that mental health care is recognized and prioritized as a critical component of overall health care.

Our vision extends beyond direct services to include a comprehensive approach to mental health care that addresses addiction, provides mental health services in K-12 schools, and promotes mental health advocacy at every level. We believe that by working together, we can create a brighter future for mental health care in California and beyond.
